A popular way to remove bees from the honey super before harvesting is to drive them out by applying a strong, noxious liquid vapor that the bees hate. The liquid vapor is applied just above the super on a fume board  This board is a framed panel typically around 2 inches deep.  The unique design of our fume board places the fume pad much closer to the honey frames in the honey super than common fume boards.  This closer proximity makes it more effective at dispersing the fumes that drive the bees out of the super.  (Remove any excess comb on the top bars to make sure the pad does not touch the frames.)
