FORMIC PRO™ causes mortality to both male and female varroa under the brood cap as well as to the varroa on the adult bees. FORMIC PRO™  is to be used as part of an integrated pest management (IPM) program.

Unlike Mite Away Quick Strips, Formic Pro™ has a longer shelf life of 24 months and no temperature requirements for storage. Daytime temperatures still must be between 50° F - 84° F (10° C- 29° C) when used.

Strips are laid across the tops of the brood frames. Safe to use during the honey flow! 

  • HIGH EFFICACY - Formic Pro has an 83-97% efficacy and kills mites under the cap.
  • RESIDUE FREE - Treat during the Honey Flow. Formic Pro leaves no residues in wax or honey.
  • READY TO USE - Formic Pro is ready to use out of the pail. No mixing required.
  • NATURAL - Formic Pro is made from all natural RAW materials.
  • BIODEGRADABLE - Formic Pro strips are made from all natural biodegradable materials and can be composted.
  • NO RESISTANCE - Formic Acid has been used for over 30 years without any known resistance.
  • EXTENDED SHELF LIFE - Formic Pro has a 24 month (2 year) shelf life. 

There are two treatment options:

  • Option One: 2 strips for 14 days.
  • Option Two: 1st strip for 10 days remove and replace with 2nd strip for an additional 10 days.

When handling Formic Pro, you must wear the recommended safety protective gear.
