This birdhouse is a great addition to any yard and made of untreated cedar wood. One side is capable of opening up to allow for easy cleaning, and can be secured when closed. The roof is sloped and hangs over the entrance to protect from rain. 

There is a keyhole on the back to allow for easy hanging, and a predrilled hole on the bottom so it can be screwed in for extra stability. The corners are cut from the base of the house to allow for drainage and ventilation. It can be painted but cedar is naturally resistant to rotting and very weather resistant.

The hole is 1.25" in diameter. There is no perch because it can create a good platform for predators to attack the nest from.
