This two chamber bumble bee house is made of untreated Cedar and is the perfect home for these solitary pollinators. It contains two stainless steel screened ventilation holes on either end, and includes a bag of pine shavings to place in the Queen's nesting chamber that she will use to prepare her new home.
The house can be put out in the Spring when you start to see bumble bees emerging. A shaded spot facing north and against a house or nestled under a bush is a good spot. Putting the house on top of a log or some rocks to keep it from direct contact with dirt is a good idea, as well as putting a rock on top of the lid.
